SPENGA CREW Spotlight: Carrie

carrie, spenga bloomingdale owner and crew memberCarrie is the example of someone that embodies SPENGA through and through. Her journey with SPENGA started out as an instructor three years ago, and her newest journey as a studio owner has its own rewarding challenges, but she wouldn't trade it for the world.

If you have taken a session with Carrie then you know what I am about to tell you -- her energy is top notch, her music is always bumping, and her Michael Jackson WOOOOs will make you smile. When you get to the REVIVE portion during her session, you are in for a treat. She's got mad yoga skills that leave you feeling oh-so-good afterwards.

Carrie has had teaching in her blood for quite some time as she was a second grade teacher for seven years. Her love for the sport fueled her to a D1 Volleyball career at Kent State and led her to combine her teaching acumen with a fitness setting.

After some time teaching at SPENGA, she knew she wanted more. She began the search for her own studio and stumbled upon this location in Springbook Shopping Center after a friend told her to look at Bloomingdale. Truthfully, she didn't know much about Bloomingdale. "Could I make an impact there? What if they don't like me? Should I take this leap of faith?" All of these thoughts whirled around in her head, but with the support and encouragement of her husband Dan they began the process to build out their own franchise.

Fast forward two years later with a lot of sweat, and even some tears, Carrie is thrilled to be a part of this community! While the studio was closed, she had a few epiphanies along the way:

  • A SPENGA membership is not something that is just sold. It’s a gift to change people’s lives.
  • The community that we built in such a short amount of time is stronger than she could ever imagine.
  • The hardwork and the smiles of her staff and clients is rewarding and so worth the efforts of running her own business.
  • Becoming an Instagram star is hard work, but with the help of her family, they killed it! Maddie and Norah's cooking demos were always a hit.

During Carrie's time away from the studio, the family is enjoying their new camper, the time to cheer on her son Danny at baseball games, and learning TikTok videos with her girls. Follow Carrie socially @carrie_rudman.
