SPENGA CREW Spotlight: Mallory

I started my journey with SPENGA in 2018 as a member. After a while, an instructor approached me about becoming an instructor myself. Now, this may sound hard to believe, but I can be shy and I thought to myself, there is no way I could do that. Knowing how uncomfortable just the thought of it was, I knew I had to try.

I decided in that moment to go for it and really have never looked back. I absolutely love being an instructor and taking that spot on the bike. It feeds my soul and gives me an identity outside of being a mom or wife. I take so much pride in helping the members in my classes challenge themselves and also try to make them laugh while doing it.

Until finding Spenga I never felt as if I truly was good at a job or fit in. I think like most of us, once we found Spenga we knew we found home and that is how it always feels when I put that mic on no matter how many times I do it. It’s fun and different every time. I have so much love and respect for the community it creates and am so lucky to get to live out a dream I never knew I had.
